Australia’s most-trusted pharmacy assistant publication, Post Script, has been keeping Australian pharmacy assistants entertained and informed since 1976, and that makes us the oldest pharmacy assistant publication in Australia, and one of the oldest anywhere in the world.
We know how important pharmacy assistants are to the health and well-being of everyday Australians: indeed more than 90% of all visits to a pharmacy in Australia begin and end with a pharmacy assistant, and each and every one of us visits a pharmacy, on average, 11 times a year. I’m originally from the UK, and I’ve worked as a journalist and editor for more than a decade across a number of consumer and specialist titles. I’m now the Editor-in-Chief of Post Script magazine and postscript.com.au. I’m also proud to be on the judging panel of the Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award; and I’m a keen advocate of the value of pharmacy assistants in community healthcare. In my spare time I write poetry and am also writing a novel about the vagaries of publishing. Oh, and I love radios – big, small, old, new – novelty radios especially. I’m also known to jump off hills given the chance, fortunately attached to a hang-glider.

I’ve worked as a journalist and editor for more than a decade, in the pharmacy industry and in local news – taking a couple of years out to freelance while I had my two little girls! I love beauty and fashion history and all things retro, especially jazz and vintage fair shopping and markets. I’m an avid reader and spend far too much time playing computer games or on the treadmill at the gym.
