Guild Learning and Development – Blood Pressure Training

Under pressure!

Pharmacy assistants have an important role in helping people manage their blood pressure by helping to identify people who may benefit from having it measured.

Community pharmacy has become a well-known destination for customers to have their blood pressure measured. Many customers value this service and rely in this information to assist them in monitoring their health. And many pharmacy assistants are involved in taking a customer’s blood pressure reading and providing this information to both customer and the pharmacist.

Importantly, your role is to accurately take the customer’s blood pressure reading. The reading should then be given to the pharmacist to determine the course of action that the customer should take.

In an exciting partnership between the Guild Learning and Development and PS, update your skills by taking part in our series of ‘snapshots’ from accredited units from the community pharmacy qualifications.

Simply read the lesson below and then answer five multiple choice questions and receive a Certificate of Completion which you can print!
